Android 4.1 Jelly Bean finds a home on Kindle Fire

The Amazon Kindle Fire is a robust little tablet, currently running Android 2.3. So what could make the tablet even better? Why, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean of course.

The smart cookies over at xdadevelopers have been hard at work to get the port running, ahead of Google’s own 7″ tablet launch, the Nexus 7. Of course the build isn’t perfect and there’s a suitable amount of risk involved with rooting devices, but if you can pull it off then you can enjoy your spiffy new Jelly Bean tablet.
