iOS has a lot of interesting apps that really caught on with users and one of the bonafide hits is the photo sharing app Instagram which boasts a huge 27 million registered users. The creator of the app, Kevin Systrom, originally said that an Android port was coming very soon and more specifically said this: It’s one of the most amazing Android apps you’ll ever see and in some ways, it’s better than our iPhone app.”
Now you can see if that’s true, because the app has now released on Android.
The Android Instagram app supports Android 2.2 and above and can be downloaded through the the Google Play store. Aside from letting you add a number of filter effects to your pictures, it lets you share them to a number of different social networks as well.
Expect their registered users number to skyrocket after this since Android is a pretty big market in itself.
